Making Chinese Dumplings for Chinese New Year

Now that Chinese New Year is upon us, my grandmother has started to tell me about how to make Chinese dumplings. My grandmother used to make Chinese dumplings every single day when she was younger. The years were 1920-1930 and back then everyone used to make their food from scratch and everyone knew all the methods and recipes to make them. She told me that she wants to teach me how to make Chinese dumplings from scratch and I thought that it would be great to learn since it is a dying skill in these days, now that you can purchase everything from the store. When my grandmother taught me to make Chinese dumpling, she went through the process of making the meat filling first and then taught me how to make the dough in order to wrap the filling in so that we can make the dumplings just the way we like them.
